Prof Dr.K.Shanthi Naidu, a Consultant Biochemist graduated from SV Medical College, Tirupathi in 1979 and specialized in Medical Biochemistry (Clinical Chemistry) from Madras Medical College in 1983. She now heads the Department of Laboratory Medicine at a tertiary hospital & teaching institution, CARE Hospitals in Hyderabad, India.
Her experience in diagnostics is wide & varied having worked at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology Bangalore and Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences Hyderabad and has developed. At present is Head of Laboratory Medicine, CARE HOSPITAL, a leading tertiary care hospital in Hyderabad. She has been a guide for many projects and thesis for paramedical, science and medical graduates over the years. She is a PhD guide for the NTR Health University of Andhra Pradesh and Saveeta University in Chennai. She was trained at the National Teachers Training Centre at JIPMER, Pondicherry. She has completed a PG Diploma in Clinical Trial Management at ICRI. She is a member board of studies at universities in medical faculty and science faculty.
Is a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India, Fellow of Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences, India, Fellow of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India and is a member of associations for other faculties of medicine, haematology, nephrology. Has been the president of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India, (AMBI). AMBI’s representative at IFCC AND APFCB. Nominated corresponding member of IFCC CKD- Task Force.
She has the credit of being a “Technical and Lead Assessor” in the field of Clinical Biochemistry for the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories,
She has numerous presentations both at National and International stages and has publications in reputed journals.
