Dr Lahariya is National Professional Officer- Healthcare, Access and Protection with WHO’s India Country office. In his current role, since early 2013, Dr Lahariya’s work focuses on health systems strengthening with special attention on health service delivery, primary healthcare as well as health financing. Over last decade, his work has been a blend of policy formulation, program design and field implementation, with focus on health & development. Between 2008-12, he was the responsible officer for WHO India’s work on new vaccines introduction and routine immunization strengthening. He is a widely recognized expert on vaccination & immunization, health systems strengthening, primary healthcare, health financing, patient safety and quality, and universal health coverage, amongst other.
